Departures and stations 2024/25
Snälltåget departs from Malmö, passing through Lund, Hässleholm, Alvesta, Nässjö, Linköping, Norrköping, Stockholm, and Uppsala, arriving at Undersåker the next morning, where a transfer awaits to take you to your destination. On the return trip from the mountain world, the train arrives in Uppsala and Stockholm just before midnight, stopping at the same locations as the northbound journey during the night and reaching Malmö the following morning.
Bus transfer
From Undersåker, we offer transfers to Edsåsdalen, Vålådalens Fjällstation, or Trillevallen throughout the season which stretches from December 20, 2024, and May 4, 2025. On Snälltåget.se, you can book the entire journey, including the transfer, to and from Edsåsdalen, to and from Vålådalen Västra, or to and from Trillevallen.

Trillevallen
Here, there are activities for all ages and needs. From a literary morning in the wolf room at the high mountain hotel to a beautiful ski trip around Välliste while others in the group explore the challenges of the alpine ski resort.
With one of the most comprehensive trail and touring systems in the Åre Mountains offering twelve miles of prepared tracks and trails, it's easily accessible from both the high mountain hotel and the ski system.
Trillevallen's High Mountain Hotel is one of the few hotels in the mountains with the right to call itself classical. The first winter guests arrived here in 1938. Many wonderful mountain traditions thrive here, and the most significant of all is hospitality. With 40 rooms and approximately 126 beds, a restaurant serving delicious mountain tastes, and a conversation-friendly and relaxed lounge bar, the hotel is a gem in the Southern Åre Mountains. More cozy ambiance awaits in the Wolf Room where the fire crackles a warm welcome. Of course, the kids have their very own playroom adjacent to the restaurant. Trillevallen's High Mountain Hotel offers everything from classic Jämtland specialties to well-prepared home-cooked food.

Vålådalen and Vålådalsfyrkanten
Vålådalen is a sporting historic gem in the heart of the mountains, offering every possibility for ski touring and adventures in the wilderness. The cross-country trails are world-class, enjoyed by national team skiers and happy enthusiasts in this unique environment. Sports halls, gyms, and ski slopes complement the range of activities. After active days, the sauna hut and hot tubs under the starry sky offer relaxation before dinner in Olga's Dining Room, renowned for its delicious food. Snälltåget arranges the entire trip for you with train and transfer to and from Vålådalen.
Vålådalen is also the starting point for ski touring adventures in Vålådalsfyrkanten. If you need more breakfast, provisions, or to rent touring skis, get that sorted at Vålådalen's Mountain Station before you embark on your mountain adventure on touring skis toward Lunndörren mountain cabin. The tour in Vålådalsfyrkanten is divided into 4-day stages with overnight stays at the mountain cabins in Lunndörren, Vålåstugorna, and Stensdalen. It's best to travel for a short week from Sunday to Thursday during the later part of the season in March and April.
