Snälltåget to Bruksvallarna
Travel by our overnight train from cities including Malmö, Gothenburg and Stockholm to a winter holiday in the cross-country skiing paradise of Bruksvallarna. The train takes you to Östersund or Röjan, where a transfer bus will take you directly to Stigmyhrs Livs in Bruksvallarna.
Bruksvallarna – the best for cross-country skiing
Bruksvallarna is a genuine mountain village in western Härjedalen, best known for its world-class cross-country skiing. There are 110 km of well-groomed trails winding through the valley and up into beautiful mountain terrain. On top of that, several more miles of high-mountain trails are groomed from week 7 onwards. You can enjoy top-quality skiing here from November to the end of April. Bruksvallarna welcomes everyone – beginners, ski tourers, Vasaloppet racers, families and elite athletes alike.
In the heart of Funäsfjällen, western Härjedalen
Bruksvallarna offers a family-friendly, close-to-nature atmosphere with plenty of opportunities for recreation and memorable experiences. In the village, you’ll find a ski stadium, cross-country and snowmobile trails, winter hiking, snowcat rides up to the waffle hut Knallen, restaurants, a sports shop and grocery store.
Bruksvallarna is part of Funäsfjällen – Scandinavia’s largest mountain experience. The ski bus takes you quickly to other resorts in the area, such as Ramundberget, Tänndalen and Funäsdalen.
For more information about the destination and accommodation bookings, visit Bruksvallarna.se. While distances in the village are short, it’s a good idea to choose accommodation that offers easy access to the ski trails, shops or restaurants.
