Senior discount on Snälltåget
Did you know that pensioners travel cheaper with Snälltåget? If you are retired, aged 60 or over, or receive compensation from the Swedish Social Insurance Agency (Försäkringskassan), you are eligible for a senior discount.
Seniors aged 60+ travelling alone receive approximately 20% off the Seat class fare.
If two or more seniors are travelling together, the Together Ticket applies, offering a 25% discount. This also applies if a senior is travelling with an adult, youth, or student.
To book a ticket with a senior discount, select the "Senior 60-99 years" category when booking online.
Onboard the train, seniors must present valid identification along with their ticket.
The senior discount also applies to travellers receiving sickness compensation. To qualify, you need to show valid ID and a certificate from Försäkringskassan along with your ticket.
